In the first three months of this year we saw the largest decline in PC shipments in history. According to data from IDC, PC sales in the first three months fell by nearly 14 percent, which the biggest drop in sales in the period since 1994. During the first quarter 76.3 million of PCs were sold. First place still holds Heweltt-Packard, which has delivered 12 million computers, a decrease of 24 percent compared to the same period a year earlier.

Lenovo stayed at the second place, with 11.7 million sold PCs. Third place belongs to the Dell with 9 million PCs, which is a drop of 11 percent. IDC believes that this year the number of tablet shipments will exceed the number of shipments of desktop computers, and next year (2014), the delivery of tablets should be greater than the delivery of laptops.
